Amberger Familien GbR, Tegernsee, Germany, and Schoeller Holding, Munich/Zurich, have jointly acquired the logistics service provider Trans-O-Flex, Weinheim, from Austrian Post. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
The Trans-O-Flex Logistics Group is a specialized transport and logistics service provider, offering Europe-wide B2B logistics solutions. In 2014, the group generated a turnover of EUR 500 million, employed 1,900 people, and operated 91 branches in Germany and Austria. The Group’s services are divided into express delivery, Thermomed, and logistics services. The Amberger family, sole shareholders of Loxxess AG, Tegernsee, and the Schoeller brothers originally acquired Trans-O-Flex AG in 1995. At that time, Trans-O-Flex had a turnover of nearly DM 1 billion. After successful restructuring, the express delivery service was sold to Deutsche Post AG in 1998, and Austrian Post acquired the company in 2008.
