Windstar Medical Sold to 7Life

7Life, a subsidiary of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, has acquired a majority stake in Windstar Medical. With this purchase, the media group aims to expand its range of "TV-related lifestyle commerce products and markets."

About Windstar Medical

The Windstar Group is a leading provider of non-pharmacy healthcare products. In the mass market, the company offers brands such as Well & Slim, Greendoc, Vitalia, and S-O-S. These products are sold directly through the Goodvita online store. Additionally, large retail chains have their own brands produced by Windstar Medical. Notable customers include dm, Rewe with DocMorris own brands, and the Vitalsana mail-order pharmacy.

Founded in 2008 through the merger of various consulting and distribution companies, Windstar Medical has seven subsidiaries, including Dr. Kleine and Districon. Both companies produce and distribute over-the-counter products and private labels, among other items.

Windstar originated from the consulting company Promarcon, established in 1993. In late 2014, financial investor Equita acquired a majority stake. Company founders Wilfried Eichhorn and Dr. Thomas Kleine remained involved, while Lars Knobloch and Ralph Ziegelmeier exited. Currently, the founders hold less than 10 percent of the shares.
